my cat is usually only out over the day. my cat had been outside for 4 days and i was very worried because, no joke, she likes to run infront of fast moving objects like my walking, and i've seen her running straight into the sidewalk from a patch of grass, right infront of a moving bicyclist. so, i had cause for concern. however, this morning i heard a loud meow outside the door and was very happy to greet my cat in for a petting and an extra nice meal. it was a huge relief and a joy :)
